Purpose:

Contributes to the overall success of ScotiaMcLeod Sales Management in Canadian Wealth Management in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Accountabilities:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Provide knowledgeable support to management and staff and ensure all HR and ScotiaMcLeod policies are administered in a manner consistent with Scotiabank Standards and procedures:
  • Ensure the Service Level Agreements are consistently met
  • Provide expert service by accurately communicating HR and SM policy and procedural changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Ensure the timely escalation and upwards referral of unresolved/unusual inquiries/outstanding issues.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of SM Compensation Policies & Procedures
  • Promptly investigate and respond to inquiries, resolving exceptions and performing timely corrections
  • Provide support on Sales Management policy support, projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to projects and execution of projects
  • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS?:

  • Post Secondary preferred; Accounting/Payroll experience preferred
  • Brokerage experience an asset
  • Good knowledge of wealth management concepts; financial instruments
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to effectively work with stakeholders, partners and management.
  • Highly professional, able to exercise discretion when working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proactive, self-starting, results-oriented and highly motivated
