Department Overview:

The team's responsibilities and deliverables include management reporting, planning and forecasting, journal entries, and business analytics. This position is part of the TDS TS Finance team that provides financial analysis, advice and decision-making support for Technology Portfolio.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst position within the TS Finance group requires an action-oriented individual with strong technical skills, good business acumen and demonstrated problem solving capabilities. The main focus of this individual will be to develop a strong relationship with the technology portfolios supported to deliver monthly/quarterly Management Reporting, Planning and Forecasting and Analysis of financial results. The successful candidate is a self-starter with an attention to detail, who offers working solutions to business partners/peers/management with a focus on continuous process improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Working with Manager and Senior Manager in meeting deliverables of the team by providing strong analytical/ financial modelling skills and value-added insight into the business.
  • Oversee preparation and reporting of business project portfolio, working in conjunction with EPF/PDG.
  • Lead, support and develop in-depth analysis for TDS & TBSM LOB Spend by types of initiatives (Project, Base) vs Forecast, Plan and prior periods.
  • Lead deep dives related to Technology expenses as they contribute to various management and leadership reporting on regular basis.
  • Identify and provide impact analysis of financial/accounting, policy and process changes including documentation, follow up, escalation and resolution.
  • Process Mapping and documentation of technology processes, system data flow and resource utilization by working closely with technology and finance partners.
  • Lead and governance around hyperion hierarchies, cost centres and category codes.
  • Manage and develop the reporting of technology charges (supply view) in correlation with the demand per types of initiatives (CTB/FCP/Base).
  • Responsible for cost allocations and helping team to improve existing process on CIO reporting.
  • Manage and develop CTB/FCP/Base reporting fully integrated to the CIO view.
  • Develop and enhance internal relationships across multiple business units.
  • Contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment.
  • Support in responding to and following up on issues, queries and exceptions.
  • Charge-out rate analysis to review and present cause of over/under recovery.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial packages to be reviewed with portfolio leads.
  • Meet with the VP/AVP's and review monthly results, follow-up and action items are resolved in a timely manner.
