  • Position 1: Monday to Friday - 1500 - 2100
  • Position 2: Saturday and Sunday - 0700 - 1500
  • Position 3: Monday to Friday - 1500 - 2300
  • Position 4: Saturday and Sunday - 1100 - 2300
Payrate: | $18.30/hour Posting Date: October 22, 2024 Closing Date: November 4, 2024

Job Description:
  • Access control, property patrols, incident reporting, CCTV and fire panel monitoring, emergency response and customer service
  • Maintain workflow to ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and assignments were completed in an accurate and timely manner and forwarded to management
  • Ensuring a safe and effective working environment by the proper use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established health and safety policies and procedures
  • Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time
  • Greet tenants, clients, and the general public
  • Provide helpful guidance and assistance
  • Direct individuals to required destinations
  • Sustain effective relationships with visitors, tenants, and staff through courteous and respectful relations
Prerequisites:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard license
  • Valid WSIB Approved Emergency / STANDARD First Aid and CPR with AED
  • Must be COVID-19 Fully vaccinated and be able to provide proof od receiving a minimum 2 vaccine doses.
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent/post-secondary diploma or degree
  • Minimum 1-year security-related experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
  • High level of customer service
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and knowledge of PC-based incident reporting software
  • Knowledge of access control, CCTV, fire equipment, and fire monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and bi-laws
  • Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware:
The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
