Hours of work will follow the flexible work schedule in accordance with Article 19.01(a)of the NAPE-HP Collective Agreement, based on 75 hours bi-weekly (by mutual agreement). Variable shifts may apply.

Salary CG-39 of the NAPE-HP salary scales $37.94 - $42.46 per hour.

Demands, duties, qualifications
Reporting to the Program Manager of the Community Supports Program, the primary purpose of this position is to provide services under the Community Support Program, including Adult Protection Services to Flower's Cove and surrounding area.

Qualifications
:

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Social Work degree and must provide proof of registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers;
  • Knowledge of professional social work practices;
  • Knowledge of Community Support Programs and Adult Protection Services;
  • Possesses effective community development and case management techniques;
  • Has an ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse and challenging environment;
  • Has a commitment to the delivery of quality services to clients;
  • Candidates should possess effective management, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to the delivery of quality service to clients;
  • Candidates should hold a valid driver's license;
  • Use of a private vehicle is required;
  • The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Provides quality service for clients requiring Community Support Programs and/or other support services;
  • Completes assessments;
  • Provides counseling;
  • Advocates for client services;
  • Coordinates service provision;
  • Evaluates and/or investigates reports under Adult protection;
  • Assists in community capacity building;
  • Managing caseloads;
  • Preparing and analyzing reports;
  • Other related duties.
