Job Title: Professional Painter
Location: Saint John, NB
Available Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm
Rate of Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Assignment InformationAdvantage Personnel is seeking Industrial Painters to join our client's growing team in Saint John, NB. This position requires an individual with 3-5 years of painting experience and has experience in fabricating and manufacturing. In this role, you will be required to conduct and complete full industrial painting projects. This includes pre-assessment of the space with follow through to the final quality check.

Responsibilities:
* Clean and prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, or using chemical agents to ensure proper adhesion of coatings
* Prepare and mix paints and coatings according to specifications and ensure they meet quality standards
* Apply paints, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
* Maintain and clean painting equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition
* Inspect finished work to ensure it meets safety and quality standards; perform touch-ups as necessary
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed

Candidate Requirements:
* 3-5 years of Painting experience is preferred
* Comfortable with hand held power tools, scrapers, grinders, etc.
* Comfortable working at heights, fall arrest and aerial lift certifications an asset
* Experience in fabrication/manufacturing
* Willing to travel (PEI, NS and the Maritimes)
* Able to stand for extended periods
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
