Job Summary
The Electroneurophysiology Technologist III is responsible for performing advanced technical and clinical work and coordinating all activities related to electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) across sites. This position works within the multidisciplinary team to advise on technical interpretation of various diagnostic neuro-physiological results from patients who have been referred from the various disciplines. The Electroneurophysiology Technologist III works with the manager and neurologists to develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for performance evaluations and mock exams for electroneurophysiology students and acts as a primary resource for management and physicians on the day to day operations of the department.

Occasionally lifts objects over 10 lbs. and moves objects over 50 lbs. in the form of portable equipment in the transfer or lifting of patients.
Regularly required to sit to operate equipment, interview patients and write reports with the constant need for fine motor skills.
Visual concentration is required for proper data acquisition and troubleshooting.
Eye/hand coordination is required when inserting needle electrodes.
Exact results and precision are required when interpreting EMG/NCS data as waveform and chart analysis. Precision also required for accurate needle EMG insertion and accurate electrode placement.
Job Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent is required
Successful completion of a recognized training program in Electroneurophysiology is required
Certification with the Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada is required
Certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalography Technologists (C.B.R.E.T) is required.
Minimum three years of experience within the last five years as an Electroneurophysiology Technologist II is required.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
Demonstrates competency in organizational, interpersonal, team-building, communication and decision-making skills.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required
