Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Resident Care Services Program - St. Patrick's Mercy Home, the WPEO will be responsible for the performance of secretarial, clerical and administrative assignments in support of Nursing Administration/Nursing Department. Duties include but are not limited to: Coordinating education and training sessions for all departments, providing back-up support to the Executive Assistant, performing responsible and complex secretarial work, preparing and processing correspondence, grievance processing, scheduling appointments/meetings, recording and transcribing minutes, generating reports, maintaining databases and adequate office supplies, entering payroll, managing confidential files and information, and other duties as assigned.

Occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 10 lbs., boxes, files, equipment.
Regularly required to sit performing work on a computer.
Occasionally required to bend, stretch, reach, stand and walk within the office or clinic environment.
Regularly required to perform fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse to send and respond to emails or work on documents.
Visual concentration is required while transcribing, entering or formatting text/data.
Auditory concentration is regularly required when performing reception duties or answering the telephone. May experience frequent interruptions from public/clients.
Exact results and precision is constantly required when entering data/text, maintaining files and completing statistical reports.
Occasionally experiences time pressures/deadlines.

Job Qualifications
Education
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Demonstrated attention to detail, superior organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, excellent customer relation skills and the ability to work independently.
Demonstrated exceptional problem solving, interpersonal/communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, meet strict timelines, and deal with competing demands.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
An Excel, and PowerPoint test may be administered by the Department of Human Resources. Scores of 70% are required.

A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
