Demands, duties, qualifications
The primary purpose of this position is to perform clerical support and receptionist duties for the staff at the White Bay Central Health Centre. The Successful applicant will report to the Onsite Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school supplemented by the successful completion of a two-year Office Administration diploma;
  • Completion of an approved medical terminology course OR willingness to complete within a reasonable timeframe to be set by the employer;
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in work processing and other Microsoft software; (demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Work, Power Point, Excel, Internet and Email);
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general office practices and procedures, organizational and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability in Meditech and CRMS;
  • The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Duties: (Included but not limited to)

  • Booking appointments/registering of patients into the system via telephone or in person;
  • Answering phones promptly;
  • Maintaining daily filing;
  • Transcribing of reports as necessary;
  • Inputting data into the Meditech System;
  • Providing coverage for the Typist II when necessary;
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices;
  • Other related duties as required;
