Job Description:

About This Role

We are looking for a Practice Lead 1 QE Manager who will be responsible for leading, supporting and guiding a Testing Program or a group of multiple IT testing projects to realize ambitious business targets.

  • Manage a team of QE professionals in providing a broad range of test services and solutions, ensuring standards are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Manage large QE Program/Projects supporting multiple technologies and platforms across Digital, Guidewire & legacy solutions.
  • Create Test strategies/test Plans for parallel initiatives running in Agile framework.
  • Improve the overall automation coverage and test efficiencies and thereby generate cost savings.
  • Implement ways to optimize the overall testing.
  • Good technical knowledge on Functional and API automation tools to guide the team.
  • Ensure planning for the responsible portfolio including budget (actual/ forecast), skill sets, resourcing (hiring/ allocations/ re-alignments), and location
  • Work with technology stakeholders to understand requirements, attend workshops, identify resourcing requirements, provide initial estimates and define the operating/ governance model
  • Build Trust and partnership among the team, peer group and effectively drive synergies across departments to ensure optimal utilizations and best use of talent.
  • Drive QE transformation for the responsible team including planning, trainings, hands on assignments and project executions. Manage resource planning, forecasting, reviewing project assignments, utilizations. Ensure resources are ready and trained as per delivery pipeline
  • Work with Enterprise and internal groups to provide metrics/ KPI, implement organization best practices, participate in recruitment events and build strong partnership with vendors.
  • Implement QE Best practices at every opportunity and ensure accurate status tracking/ reporting
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment and management across the programs and departments through timely and accurate status reporting. Be able to project the value of QE, automation, non-functional at multiple levels including project management, executives through timely and accurate metrics.

Good to have

  • Previous Banking experience or TD experience
  • Understanding of Guidewire Product, Claims Insurance domain knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a behavior driven development model (BDD), Scaled agile framework
  • Experience in leading Tier 1, 2 programs with multiple teams and across BU/ LOB/ Departments
