Responsabilités

What you'll be doing...

As Bookstore Manager, you will be responsible for the general management and day-to-day operation of the following Bookstore Campus locations (e-Campus, Ivany, Akerley and Institute of Technology (IT) ). The work involves planning, organizing and directing the activities of the bookstores, with functional leadership and direction provided to province-wide bookstore activities and staff with considerable independence under the supervision of the Director, Ancillary Services and Campus Planning.

The Manager is also responsible for certain activities that support College wide Bookstore operations, including maintaining, implementing and monitoring of College policies and procedures of bookstore operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is an undergraduate degree, in a relevant subject area such as Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Library Sciences OR a College Diploma such as Business Administration, Library Information Technology. Significant management level experience in a retail business environment may also be considered.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in a management position within an online retail environment.
  • Occupational experience that includes post-secondary bookstore experience would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and Point of Sale, eCommerce, and Inventory Management Software.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.

  • Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships - both internally and externally.

  • You have demonstrated strength in supervising, managing and leading a team.

  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence.

  • You are dedicated to life-long learning.
