We're excited to announce a new opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support our Group Benefits Solutions team as we continue to grow and expand! Position Scope:

This position is a full time, permanent position, with accountability to the Manager, Group Benefits Solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • High level administrative support for the benefits administration teams
  • Document management
  • Data entry
  • Composing and editing correspondence and reports
  • Supporting committees

  • Ability to write and format moderately complex correspondence.
  • Strong proofreading skills and sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks with strict timelines.
  • Knowledgeable in records retention and filing processes.
  • A self-starter who can work with little supervision while meeting all job demands.
  • A 'can-do' team player who can offer initiative and enthusiasm to our strong team environment.
  • The ability to work and make decisions independently with sound judgement.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and exhibit respect at all times.
  • Well-developed communication skills, and skills in interpersonal relationships.
  • The ability to provide outstanding customer service to our members and their employees.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in administration or related field
  • Knowledge of employee group benefits and plan administration is an asset.
  • Knowledge of governance and support as it applies to Boards and Committees is an asset.

Critical Skills & Applicant Attributes:

  • Accurate keyboarding with a minimum speed of 60 wpm.
  • Advanced user of MS365 tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint (advanced level Word and Excel is required); and Adobe Acrobat. Stay abreast of technology trends and developments, open to learning and promoting new tools and approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional, responsive, accountable, respectful and positive work attitude.
