Job Description:
- Present a visible and alert presence
- Employing strong customer service skills, greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
- Ensure the safety & security of all people, buildings and assets on PCH property.
- Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
- Investigate and report on any PCH parking lot incidents in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to properly and efficiently provide photo ID and access cards for Providence Care sites
- Ability to handle large sums of cash, provide collection audit, verify coin count and coin deposit receipts
- Ability to troubleshoot the parking gates and provide service to patrons using the parking system and gates
- Administrative duties as required
- Additional duties as assigned
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
- Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
- English proficiency (oral & written) is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
- 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
