(Contractual Position to May 31, 2025)

DUTIES

The Intermediate Clerk Stenographer will be required to perform moderately difficult and varied clerical work which involves some independent judgement. Duties include assisting in the collection and compilation of all course materials for graduate and undergraduate courses taught in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) during the academic year that are required for accreditation and academic unit planning process; assisting in scanning, sorting, tracking and maintaining all data collected for accreditation by contacting each faculty member; replying to inquiries from faculty, students and staff by telephone or correspondence; assisting in obtaining approvals on various forms including, but not limited to, room access and purchasing requisitions; sorting all incoming and outgoing mail to the department; ordering all office supplies for the ECE department and managing any catering orders for various meetings, events and search committees; providing assistance with room bookings both internal and university wide, for ECE faculty members, staff, and students for meetings, exams, or events; processing printing services requests; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (minimum 1 year) in moderately difficulty and varied clerical work; completion of a two-year program in office administration is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, is essential for this role. Familiarity with Student Banner and Student Web would be an asset.

SALARY $43,119 - $50,582 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
