The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Advisor, Procurement Center of Excellence to join our Procurement team in Toronto.

This is a permanent hybrid position.

As an Advisor, Procurement you will act as focal point of the Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) with Operations in North Atlantic, with an overall view of the req to pay process. You will lead contract management normative initiatives and be responsible for implementing processes and technology, aligned with procurement strategy and, on a daily basis, will be required to interact and establish key relationships with procurement team and main stakeholders: operations, contractor management, health and safety, sustainability and FP&A team.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Will act as the representative for Contract Lifecycle Management for North Atlantic Operations/Projects on behalf of Procurement Center of Excellence. Building relationships while balancing expectations of Procurement with Operations will be essential.
  • Responsible to identify systems and improvement opportunities to support the process of Contract lifecycle Management, analyze market best practices, evaluate solutions scenario and implement/manage new project, coordinating activates and deadlines with other departments.
  • Carry out Supplier relationship management initiatives, including Contractor HSER Performance Management Process, HSER Contractor Pre-Qualification and local/ indigenous community Participation Program in Supply Chain.
  • Responsible to support strategic Procurement Initiatives, including process re-design, strategy development, priority-setting and digital transformation.
  • Responsible to coordinate and provide input and alignment to local, regional and global category and work aligned with other stakeholders. Collect, analyze and report on key performance indicators that will support business operations.
  • Identify supplier risks, perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations to resolve critical issues.

About You

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field (Business, Economics, Finance, Legal).

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant/related experience.
