Training & Quality Specialist - Halifax

This position is:

On-site - working all 5 days per week in the Office

Reporting to the National Manager of Training and Quality, the Training and Quality Specialist will be responsible for conducting quality inspections on installations performed by our authorized agents and internal technicians within our Eastlink systems. Responsibilities will include travel, performing quality inspections, conducting audits, training, mentoring/coaching and addressing customer escalations.

The Training and Quality Specialist will work closely with other Training and Quality Team members, assisting in both creation and delivery of technical training programs. Additionally, this role will assist in the development and delivery of training courses for new products equipment deployed in the field.

The successful candidate will be a self-learner and motivated to stay current with changes to technology in the industry. Comfortable in designing and implementing training and educational initiatives, they will have the ability to work independently on projects of various sizes and content. This person will possess clear and concise written and oral communication skills, which enable them to successfully train and mentor field technicians to create a high quality and consistent team.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education (Electronics background an asset) and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience in adult education will be considered a strong asset
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently, with maintaining a high level of accuracy to detail
  • Ability to travel, must possess a valid driver’s license, company vehicle provided
