Purpose

The Leader, Day to Day Banking is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily banking services strategy throughout the region. The main goal will be to develop, implement, and optimize products and services aligned with the bank's business objectives to serve the different segments. This role will closely work with Payroll Leader, Unsecured/Secured Leader, Investment Leader, and Insurance Leader, to ensure consistency of the offered products.


What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute day to day banking product, aligned to segment strategies.
  • Analyze market and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks to ensure local market coordination.
  • Collaborates with marketing, distribution, and technology to ensure digital enablement for products and solutions.
  • Monitor product performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Develop product-based loyalty and partnership initiatives.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from conceptualization to retirement.
  • Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank's risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.


What You'll Bring:

  • College/University degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the financial industry
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a product development role

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking: ability to develop and implement effective strategies for lending products.
  • Market Analysis: proficiency in analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Product management: strong skills in managing the product lifecycle, from development to retirement.
  • Leadership and influence: capabilities to influence, guide, and inspire, both the product team, and the different geographies.
  • Collaboration: ability to work effectively with cross functional teams, including the Retail verticals, Marketing, Distribution, and Technology.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the Bank's Business Lines and Corporate Functions, and how we support and serve different segments.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills in gathering and interpreting data to deliver sound judgment and exceptional decision making.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of developing & executing upon thoughtful project/recruiting strategies and then methodically working those projects to a successful completion.
  • Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills both in English, and Spanish for interacting with stakeholders and presenting ideas.
  • Business Acumen: deep understanding of financial products and lending practices
  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and translate them into effective product solutions.


Work Arrangement:

  • The business environment is fast-paced, dynamic and complex.
  • Role is can be demanding with unexpected requests and shifting priorities.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
