What you'll be doing
As the Executive Assistant to the Vice President, Equity and International, you will:
- Be accountable for contributing to the success of the Equity and International portfolio by providing high-quality, confidential, executive/administrative support to the Vice President's office.
- Actively support the Vice President's office in advancing the day-to-day operations and achievement of long-term goals.
- Be responsible for ensuring the daily activities of the Vice President are organized efficiently. This involves coordinating calendars, email and phone calls, meeting logistics and file management.
- Respond to inquiries, initiate actions and respond independently when appropriate, and demonstrate independence and initiative in anticipating needs.
- Fully support the Vice President, in their work on a wide range of issues and opportunities of organizational significance, including human resources, budget planning, stakeholder relations and more.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and communication skills are a necessity, and experience in providing advice and support for effective file and time management is essential.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary credential in business, office administration, or equivalent. High school completion with significant years of administrative experience will also be considered.
You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working at senior administrative levels within fast-paced, highly confidential office environments.
You have proven experience collaborating with a diverse team to meet common goals.
You have proven experience with organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload while meeting deadlines.
You have demonstrated communication skills with the ability to translate information into clear and concise messages that can be shared with different audiences within all levels of an organization.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail.
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
