Payrate(s): | Minimum $18.00/hours (base rate)
Note: All casual security guards have their base payrate set to minimum wage ($18.00/hour), however you are paid based on which is higher: your base payrate, or the site payrate. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons
- Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources
- Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
- Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
- Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
- Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities

Job Requirements
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour and Use of Force Certification
- Paladin Security is willing to offer this certification on a commitment contract (minimum of six (6) months) for new hires upon Onboarding
- Paladin provides an opt-in certification program for applicants who are not currently certified prior to your Paladin onboarding. More details are available as requested during the interview
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong observational skills
- Ability to walk 15 - 20 km and use stairs in single shift
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination preferred
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset
- 6+ months of security experience preferred
- 6+ months of customer service experience preferred
