The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Services team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing data solutions to drive business decisions and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for motivated engineer with a strong understanding of end-to-end data management, from data integration and transformation to advanced reporting and analytics. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization, including IT, business operations and senior leadership. You will play a critical role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights using our core technology stack, which includes SSRS, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt.

Additionally, you will take on a leadership role in defining and enforcing data processes, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices in data governance, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and change management. You will serve as a mentor to junior team members and act as a gatekeeper for quality control across data-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Manage and optimize data models in Snowflake, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines using dbt for data transformation and orchestration.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, ensure data accuracy, and provide analytical insights.
  • Serve as a key contributor to process improvement efforts, enhancing data governance and SDLC practices.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring smooth data operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on SSRS, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing large-scale data solutions and optimizing complex data models.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and process enforcement in data operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
