Objective
To provide quality management of client portfolios within Ulnooweg's lending and contribution activities. The Commercial Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining the commercial financial portfolios for the Access to Capital team. You will expand business portfolios by acquiring new commercial clients. While providing exceptional client service, you will analyse clients' financial data and recommend products and services which suit client needs. With demonstrated passion for Indigenous business, this role exists to help Indigenous businesses succeed.

You are a seasoned professional responsible for meeting client needs, driving business growth, and leveraging partnerships to deliver a wide range of capital solutions. As an integral member of the team, you'll deliver flexible business solutions, dedicated business expertise, and timely business advice to help clients realize their entrepreneurial goals. You thrive on building collaborative partnerships to navigate the uniqueness of Indigenous businesses and governance structures and understand how these influence credit and lending processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall quality of the portfolio in accordance with practices, policies, and objectives.
  • Responsible for building relationships with Indigenous business clients and communities.
  • Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications, documentation, and analysing current financial status etc.
  • Responds to client queries with respect, sensitivity, and understanding by taking appropriate action to reconcile concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment frameworks and financial analysis concepts.
  • Knowledge of bank risks and profiles, in relation to credit risk, and business model analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis; assessment of the credit quality of clients within the $50,000 to $400,000 range.

Education and experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in commercial or business banking.
  • Experience analysing and discussing emerging risks, evolving risks, and credit quality performance metrics.
  • Experience with financial software and associated computer skills.
  • Experience using analytic and data application tools for financial and risk analysis.
