Currently hiring two more pharmacy assistants at NuCare Pharmacy in St. John's.

Competitive compensation package with health/dental benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 AM - 5 PM; Every 4th weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM - 2 PM)

Position Overview: We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistants to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work alongside our pharmacists and technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy, contributing to exceptional patient care and efficient dispensary management.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Handling in-person and telephone refill requests, and coordinating deliveries
  • Assisting with drug orders and inventory
  • Scheduling and coordinating professional services
  • Assisting the pharmacist with dispensary tasks as permitted within the assistant's scope of practice
  • Greeting customers in-person as required and collecting their prescription information
  • Compounding creams, suspensions, and suppositories when required
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized pharmacy
  • Answering telephones with professionalism and courtesy
  • Preparing blister packs and PACMED med packs using our various technologies when required
  • Performing cash register duties as required
  • Handling third-party billing as required

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a pharmacy assistant
  • Prior experience with Kroll software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
