Trades Worker II-Carpenter (Building Mechanical), Temporary Full-Time (Approximately 1 year)Facility Management and Engineering, James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander
Definition of work:
This is skilled or advanced work at the journeyperson level. Work involves the maintenance and repair of buildings and Architectural Systems. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications:
* Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
* Applicants must possess an Industrial/Commercial Carpenter course from a recognized institute approved by Central Health.
* Journeyperson certificate in a Carpentry Trade.
* Valid Class IV Driver's License issued by the province of Newfoundland and Labrador or willingness to complete.
* Demonstrated knowledge of computers software.
* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
* Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)
Salary: CG-29 ($27.07-$30.07)
