Manager of Maintenance and Operations, Permanent Full-TimeFacilities Management, Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor
Definition of work:
The Manager of Maintenance and Operations will report to the Director - Facilities Management. Key responsibilities include: facilitation and coordination of operational work tasks and be engaged into capital project communication for Central Zone to ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals and objectives; daily coordination and direction of facility staff to ensure the installation of equipment and internal projects proceed as per codes and standards and without delay; project facilitator for the provincial CMMS program and all associated duties; and daily direction and coordination of Biomedical staff, local and regional trade workers. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements. Travel throughout the region will be required. Candidate is required to be apart of the Manager "on Call" rotation.
Required qualifications:
* Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
* Completion of a post-secondary diploma in an Engineering Technology, Building or Mechanical Trade, Power Engineering Technology or related field approved by NL Health Services. Equivalencies with education and experience will be considered relevant.
* One year recent experience within the last three years in project management.
* Demonstrated strong leadership, facilitation skills, initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential in the departmental team dynamic.

* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
* A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Hours of work: 70 Hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)
Salary: HL-22 ($76,523-$99,480)
