Job Summary
This position reports to the Manager of Revenue and Collections. The position provides secretarial, clerical, and administrative support; establishes and maintains files and information systems; maintains a log of pre-numbered receipt books issued to other departments for internal control purposes; maintains a log of outgoing registered mail; performs a cursory review of ambulance accounts for address accuracy and non-billable services; and performs other related duties as required, including, but not limited to mail distribution, actioning of undeliverable mail, and inventory control. The position is responsible for confirming patients' insurance coverage and demographic information in various electronic systems - especially CRMS and the provincial Client Registry -- and adjusting or updating accounts in the Meditech system as needed.
Applicants must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The applicant must use initiative to organize and establish work priorities.

Regularly lifts objects weighing less than 5 lbs. and occasionally up to 10 lbs.
Work provides the opportunity to occasionally stand and walk within the office environment and requires bending, stretching, etc., to retrieve and return files.
Constantly performs repetitive fine motor skills while sitting and using a computer and mouse for typing.
Regularly to constantly uses bilateral, repetitive fine finger/precision work (i.e., typing/ mousing) on the computer (seated at a workstation).
Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
*Proof of a current office administration program is required. To be considered current, they must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.
