Purpose
Execute sales activities in relation to the distribution of fixed income cash and fixed income derivative products in the primary and secondary markets; and marketing these products on behalf of the bank while ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Adhere to the sales and marketing strategy to secure new, profitable business as well as further develop existing client relationships in order to achieve sustainable revenue growth.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing solutions and helping generate derivative transactions by leveraging knowledge of clients' hedging needs, accounting constraints and capital goals.
- Understanding the range of derivative products – swaptions, caps, floors, interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, NDF swaps - and how they can be utilized to help our client's businesses.
- Developing written communication materials - business plans, pitchbooks, term sheets, hedging analysis, and other key materials required to market and execute transactions.
- Comfortable interacting with senior level relationships with accounts.
- Strong collaboration with key partners across the Corporate and Investment Bank, including helping to define client strategy and market the products mentioned above.
- Fostering new and existing client relationships in addition to cross-selling existing relationships across other areas and product groups.
- Championing a high performance environment and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
- Market Scotiabank's derivative capabilities across geographies with the primary focus of leveraging our Latin American footprint.
What You'll Bring:
- A University Degree from a related field
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required
- Product knowledge in Latin American markets and/or Project Finance is an asset
- All applicable regulatory registrations
