Salary: To commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $74,620 - $87,958 per annum.

Responsabilités

Acadia University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager, Data & Reporting to join our Technology Services Department. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team responsible for the management of data, reporting, and integration systems across the university. You will develop and implement a reporting strategy that meets the diverse needs of university departments while aligning with the broader strategic priorities of Technology Services.

Reporting directly to the Director of IT Services, you will collaborate with the Technology Services management team to set project priorities, establish operational policies, and promote sustainable data management, reporting, and integration practices. This position requires a strong understanding of institutional operations and the ability to communicate effectively with university leadership and stakeholders. In this role, you will maintain clear and transparent communication on data management practices, resource availability, and project timelines.

You will also collaborate with peers at other universities to ensure the adoption of best practices in data management. Additionally, you will manage relationships with key vendors to ensure high-quality data services and reporting solutions, and lead strategic projects (2-3 annually). As part of your leadership responsibilities, you will also organize and actively participate in the Data Management and Reporting Users Working Group.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistic, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in database management, data modeling, and complex data analysis.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SQL, Python, JSON, and experience with data visualization tools such as Informer, Power BI, or similar platforms.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets.

Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering data-driven projects.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
