Salary range: $64,017.65 - $77,819.65 annually

Responsabilités

What you will be doing…

  • You will be accountable to support the execution of a college-wide Safety Accountability Management System in support of Senior Management, Occupational Health and Safety Committees and the Campus Management Teams.
  • You will be responsible for the promotion of an effective safety culture, which supports, develops and enables our faculty and staff to excel in program delivery.
  • Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Services, you will perform safety inspections and audits, accident investigations, training development and delivery, assist with the development of safety and environmental policy and procedures and other duties as assigned.
  • You will work from the Burnside Central Facilities office and assigned to support a regional family of Campuses
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a high school diploma. Completion of relevant technical coursework in Safety, Fire Prevention, Industrial Hygiene, or Risk Management would be preferred. In addition, you possess valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • An undergraduate degree In Occupational Health and Safety would be considered an asset.
  • Advanced certification such as Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) would be considered an asset.
  • You have a minimum of two years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience performing duties in Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Prevention Inspections, Accident investigations, or closely related activities.
  • A recognized equivalency of 5 Years experience in a formal occupational health and safety role with a CRSP designation may also be considered
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and Teams.
  • Occupational experience that includes supporting multiple locations, and experience in a postsecondary training environment would be considered an asset.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work

  • You possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to working with multiple stakeholders and meeting deadlines.
  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities specifically related to audit and inspection reports,
  • You have strong project management skills related to OHS program development.
