The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Operational Technology & Projects to join our Operational Technology North Atlantic Industrial Technology team in Sudbury.

This is a permanent hybrid position.

As a Senior Analyst, Operational Technology & Projects, you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing technology systems within the mineral resources sector. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of industrial technologies, contributing to the overall productivity and sustainability of mining operations, while collaborating closely with the OT operational teams.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of industrial technology systems, including automation, control systems, and data analytics platforms.
  • Develop knowledge and skills to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) of operational technology, providing in-depth knowledge of OT systems communication, server, software, connectivity, installation, troubleshooting, and operation requirements
  • Analyze data from various industrial systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and manage technology projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with industrial technologies.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize technology usage and reduce operational costs.
About You

Education:

  • A post-secondary education in an Automation, Instrumentation, Systems Engineering or Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Project management certification is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operational technology or industrial technology roles, preferably within the mining or mineral resources sector.

Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of mining and mineral processing systems, safety regulations, procedures and protocols for best application of operational technologies and systems.
  • Proficiency in industrial automation systems, SCADA, DCS, PLC programming, and data analytics tools.
  • Good project management knowledge and experience from concept to close out, budget management, stakeholder management.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Personal commitment to safety and risk management
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and work with different teams
  • Ability to envision, develop and establish processes, documentation and toolsets for operational use.
