The Opportunity:

Dr. Leïla Reguigui & Dr. Michael MacGillivary, located in Moncton, NB are looking for a permanent full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team.

As a vital member of the team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:

• Participate in patient care through information gathering and basic assessment.
• Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
• Apply dressings and conduct treatments according to physician's orders.
• Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care in the setting of minor procedures.
• Review and process faxes electronically, including patient referrals.
• Maintain electronic medical records via EMR software.
• Clean and sterilize materials and instruments.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked appropriately.
• Order medical supplies.
• Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks.

Working Conditions & Location:

The Licensed Practical Nurse position requires availability to work on-site from Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day (excluding evenings, weekends, and STAT holidays). If preferred, the possibility of working 4-days/week can be further discussed with the employer.

The team within the clinic consists of a total of 2 Dermatologists and their respective support staff. The clinic is located at 35 Providence St, Moncton, NB.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with a computer (including using the internet, electronic medical record system, and MS Office software).

• Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in French is considered a strong an asset.

Experience/Education:

• Diploma of Practical Nursing is required.
• Applicant must be currently registered with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
• Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in a healthcare environment is an asset.
• Valid CPR certification.
• General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.
