Ability New Brunswick is looking for a passionate, self-motivated and resourceful Coordinator for its Para NB - Sport & Recreation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of the provincial adapted Equipment Loan Service, the inclusive parallel sport and recreation in schools program, and assisting with accessibility reviews for sport, recreation, and active living programs and facilities.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in kinesiology or a related field
- Knowledge/experience in sport/recreation equipment maintenance & repairs is an asset
- Self-motivated, innovative & resourceful
- Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal, & relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience participating and/or working in the field of sport and recreation for persons with a disability
- Proven abilities in program development, implementation & evaluation
- Experience in data management and reporting is an asset
- Experience in accessible built environment is an asset
- Above-average writing skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & social media
- Experience with equipment management, maintenance and repair
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset.
Other requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Must be willing to travel throughout the province. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Criminal record check required.
