Hours: Rotating shifts – days/afternoon/nights (see Schedule below)
Days 0630-1830/Nights 1830-0630 Rotating Shifts
Week 1 - Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursday mornings 0630-1830
Week 2 - Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays Saturday evenings 1830-0630
Week 3 - Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings 1830-0630
Week 2 - Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays Saturday mornings 0630-1830
Candidates will be working in a food grade industrial environment, which includes hazards, smells and vehicular traffic. They will be responsible for completing a short lab test for quality control on incoming raw food product (corn). This is non Security Guard position, however our client has requested our assistance to provide staffing. The position is expected to run through November 2024.
Schedule: A rotating schedule will be used that will include Day, Afternoon and Night shift and could include 12 hour shifts and start times at 0300hrs. Shifts run Monday through Saturday and Sunday as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Education with a background in science/chemistry preferred but not required
  • Work experience in a lab setting preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work shift work Ability to perform work in an industrial/agricultural environment
  • Ability to complete required activity, record and communicate results
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of results is essential
  • Effective ability to communicate in English, (both oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Candidates must provide CSA approved safety footwear
    The applicant must possess the following:
  • Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
  • Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
  • Write clear, concise and legible reports
