OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Mariner is seeking a skilled Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and implement applications using the Oracle Application Express (APEX) platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle databases and APEX development and be adept at creating efficient and scalable solutions tailored to business needs.
WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Design and develop web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Work with Oracle databases to design and implement data models, schemas, and PL/SQL scripts.
- Create and optimize SQL queries for high-performance data retrieval and manipulation.
- Customize and extend Oracle APEX applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and users to gather and refine application requirements.
- Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth application functionality.
- Monitor and improve the performance of Oracle APEX applications.
- Ensure that applications are compliant with best practices for security, performance, and maintainability.
- Provide technical support and ongoing maintenance for existing APEX applications.
- Create technical documentation for developed applications and processes.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing applications using Oracle APEX.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Proficiency in designing and managing Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with RESTful web services and APIs within Oracle APEX.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
