Franchise Management Inc. (FMI) is looking to hire an individual who lives by our corporate values of Heart, Integrity and Drive to fill the position of Bilingual Human (HR) Coordinator. The Bilingual Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by providing employee relations support and overseeing all aspects of workers' compensation, among other tasks. We are open to providing training for candidates who may not have all the experience but show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
What you will do
- Provide coaching to leaders regarding issues related to employee performance and productivity, prepare letters of discipline as required, and support the overall performance process to promote positive outcomes
- Ensure compliance with provincial, state, and federal regulations and legislation pertaining to employment and labour laws
- Ensure the company is compliant with legislative and industry Occupational Health and Safety requirements by researching, developing, consulting and recommending appropriate strategies and procedures
- Administer all aspects of Workers' Compensation, including the claims and return-to-work processes
- Ensure managers are conducting proper incident/accident investigations
- Administer employee reward, incentive, and compensation plans in conjunction with HR colleagues
- Compile, maintain, and interpret various HR data and prepare reports for leadership
What you bring to the role
- Must be fluent in French and English
- Post-secondary degree /diploma in Human Resources Management is considered an asset
- Proficiency in HRIS programs and HR technologies; previous experience using Ceridian Dayforce would be considered an asset
- Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and departments while working with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, organize, prioritize and multitask
