Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of International Banking's Global Transaction Banking Training and Development team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage digital customer training platforms and develop solutions to support customer training by:
    • Developing and evolving digital help tools including our FAQ portals and help centres for business products.
    • Evaluating current and potential new products and services training resources to determine value and effectiveness.
    • Developing, managing and delivering training.
    • Partnering with technology support teams to ensure e-learning and other training resources are effective, efficient and meeting business requirements.
    • Researching best practices and recommending innovative techniques for all learning media.
    • Representing the Training & Development team for digital channel projects within International Banking including managing training deliverables.
    • Maintaining training schedules with department management and clients.
  • Contribute to enhancing the competitiveness, marketability, and sale of business products by managing internal partner, sales and support team training by:
    • Developing digital training activities and programs for support and sales staff, including learning management system curriculums, digital training tools and onboarding programs.
    • Developing business products and services learning methodologies and delivery strategies.
    • Evaluating training processes and documentation with potential to make the internal operation of the department more efficient, and providing recommendations to senior management.
    • Leveraging previous product training experience, working alongside Product Management teams, to identify operational, technical and content gaps
  • Measure digital training success by:
    • Obtaining feedback for all digital training and ensuring programs are relevant and effective.
    • Applying partners' training feedback as well as training analytics to improve existing programs and processes.
    • Leading the success of digital training through measurements such as metrics, audience reach and other analytical data and adapting necessary changes to meet targets.
  • Maintain digital training quality standards for all business products & services by:
    • Ensuring effective Quality Assurance and training effectiveness measures are in place to enable continuous improvement and quality delivery.
    • Acting as a consultant for training design and implementation for all business products & services.
    • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
    • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What You'll Bring:

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written is required. French and Spanish are beneficial to the role but not required.
  • Expertise in designing and developing training solutions, including needs analysis, setting objectives, developing course material, and evaluation methods.
  • Understanding and experience in utilizing Articulate 360 & Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and other rapid online learning development/editing tools.
  • A thorough understanding of eLearning development concepts, principles and methodologies.
  • The ability to understand adult learning principles and a variety of design and development methods and principles would be advantageous.
  • Understanding the basics of HTML, web design principles, and Photoshop skills
  • Ability to work energetically and creatively in a team environment.
  • Sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices within the team to support a positive team environment and increased learning.
  • Expert computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks and functions and changing priorities.
