Western Zone's staffing and scheduling is a vast, complex, and dynamic process that is influenced by our organizational structure, culture, clinical/non-clinical strategies, and geographic footprint.
The provincial project team for Integrated Capacity Management (ICM) is pleased to invite applications for the Scheduling Coordinator (ANSOS Skill Mix & Scheduling), Temporary Full-Time (until March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension), in the Western region.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scheduling Coordinator ( ANSOS Skill Mix & Scheduling)will work closely with the Provincial Integrated Capacity Management (ICM) Project Team and will assist the Project Manager for Skill Mix & Scheduling, and the Workforce Management Manager (ANSOS- Skill Mix & Scheduling) to lead the coordination of an in-depth enterprise-wide review of all program/unit/division scheduling and staffing models to determine necessary steps required to consolidate into a centralized skill mix and scheduling model to achieve workforce optimization for Western Zone .
ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Scheduling Coordinator (ANSOS Skill Mix & Scheduling) will assist the Project Manager for Skill Mix & Scheduling with the following functions.
" Coordinate, and complete administrative activities related to implementing and optimizing a centralized scheduling and staffing model consolidation and workforce optimization.
" Determine and validate a centralized scheduling and staffing vision and scope via organizational visioning sessions.
" Assist with the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of a centralized scheduling and staffing model that supports the needs of patients, staff, and the organization.
" Assist with the establishment of a scheduling and staffing committee (shared governance).
" Assist with the development of training materials for scheduling and staffing workforce.
" Assist with the development/modernization and any newly identified standardization processes and procedures.
" Upon implementation of a Centralized Scheduling & Staffing model, the Scheduling Coordinator (ANSOS Skill Mix & Scheduling) will be responsible for the training of all staff that require the use of ANSOS system.
" Assist with in-depth reviews of ongoing work to facilitate continuous process improvement, as well as reviewing current practices/processes and making improvements as required.
" Assist with project implementation, enterprise-wide transformation plans
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
" Bachelor of Business Administration/Commerce, Diploma in Business Management, or other related Degree is required.
" A minimum of three years of experience within the last five working with various scheduling and staffing models, and applicable technological systems is required.
" Experience with data collection and information technology is an asset.
" Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
" Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
" Demonstrated supervisory skills including the ability to support and provide direction to others.
" Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
" Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
" Proven ability to forge productive partnerships with staff/management and other external stakeholders.
" Proven analytical, problem solving, decision-making skills and be able to work both collaboratively and with a high degree of independence and initiative.
" A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
" A valid driver's license
