Responsabilités

What you will be doing…

  • As part of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing and Communications Advisor is responsible for the planning, coordination, and development of all marketing, communications and content strategies that support NSCC's Centre of Forest Innovation. The Advisor will draw from available resources within the Marketing and Communications team and outside partners to execute these plans.
  • You support the Marketing and Communications Management team and work closely with the NSCC's Center of Forest Innovation team members to provide external and internal public relations advice and support, as well as set performance goals and track metrics across multi-channel campaigns including paid, organic and earned media channels.
  • You create content for digital and print materials, the web and social, in addition to providing branding and communications advice. Your portfolio supports major priorities set by the Centre of Forest Innovation; these include developing skills and training via new academic programs, industry micro-credentials, equity bursaries and pathways and sector engagement.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is an advanced diploma, diploma and/or degree in Marketing or Public Relations. Credentials in a related field (e.g. Journalism, and Business) with demonstrated marketing and communications experience may be considered.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in marketing, communications, event planning and media relations. You have specific experience in writing marketing plans, creative briefs, and campaign performance reports.
  • Experience with building equity and creating inclusion within marketing campaigns, events and projects would be an asset.
  • You have a strong knowledge of, and proven experience and ability in, the development and implementation of integrated marketing and communications plans within a complex organization and competitive marketplace
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, email, MS Teams and MS Outlook.
  • You are well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
  • You have experience in issues management and are competent with the monitoring and content creation for social media channels (i.e. Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • You have experience with website analytics tools and content management systems
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
  • You have a proven record of collaborating as part of a fast-paced, strategic and solution-minded team.
  • You have a proven record of excellent communication skills. The incumbent is experienced in managing multiple projects with varied stakeholders under stringent deadlines.
  • You are a proven relationship builder who values client input and knows how to incorporate it into effective marketing strategies.
  • You have experience clearly defining and managing a set of goals that move campaigns and projects forward in alignment with strategic objectives and brand guidelines.
  • You have experience supporting process for developing rich media content in the form of photography and videography.
  • You have proven project management skills that ensure long and short-term initiatives stay on track and within budget.
