About The Opportunity
Owing to McInnes Cooper's growth strategy, we are currently seeking an Associate to join our Halifax, Nova Scotia office to support our Land Titles Initiative (LTI) team within McInnes Cooper. As a Land Titles lawyer, you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to the historic African Nova Scotia community. Working directly within this community, the lawyer will work directly with clients, understand their needs, and provide them with the legal support needed, which will be in the areas of estate, property and administrative law. Travel within the Land Titles Initiative catchment areas of the historic African Nova Scotian communities is required.
About You
The ideal candidate is exceptionally client-focused and an effective communicator. With a strength in efficiency and time management, you will be responsible for managing your own files, while working alongside other LTI team members. You will have a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience in your legal career with Estates, Real Property, and/or Litigation as an asset. The successful candidate must also have strong analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
