If you are looking for a dynamic organization this is the opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting for a Purchaser to join our team in Saint John, NB

As a Purchaser you will be responsible for ensuring our branches have adequate stock levels to meet customer demand. You will work with different departments and suppliers to monitor inventory levels, analyze sales data, and place purchase orders. You will also be responsible for implementing inventory control techniques and monitoring inventory performance. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills and be highly organized. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our office in Saint John, NB.

Your primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitor and assess inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available.
  • Update min/max requirements for the branches and Technician's.
  • Create purchase orders and update confirmations to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with different departments like sales and construction to identify the right products and quantities that need to be ordered.
  • Review and action reports on inventory levels, stock outs, order statuses, deliveries, and any issues encountered.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain or related field will be considered an asset.
  • 1-2 years' work experience as an Inventory Coordinator, Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or related role is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Word.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
