The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialist, Master Data to join our Procurement Centre of Excellence team in Sudbury.

This is a permanent hybrid position.

As a Specialist Master Data, you will be responsible for North Atlantic operating master data creation to attend the maintenance and operation requirements. Analyzing best practices operations for standardization and maturity enhancement and support the new master data implementation in Vale Base Metal (transformation program). Your experience and skills will provide ongoing support to warehousing, procurement and operations coordinate initiatives and provide an excellent standard of service that will meet the needs of the business.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Manage master data requirements for SAP and integrated systems, overseeing data modeling, validation, and hierarchy to optimize data integrity.
  • Educate the organization on the importance of Master Data Management for SAP, providing training, insights, and support for SAP users while focusing on maintaining a high-performance culture.
  • Identifying and removing obstacles and impediments and Monitor Requests to insure completion.
  • Lead master data cleansing in SAP, collaborating with subject matter experts to define and implement data strategies and control.
  • Serve as master data liaison, collaborating with operational departments and building cross-departmental teams to ensure ongoing data accuracy and maintenance.
  • Continuously improve and streamline master data processes to enhance overall data quality and operational efficiency.

About You

Education:

  • A University Diploma degree in a related discipline.
  • CITT/P. Log Certification is required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years' relevant/related experience.

Skills:

  • Experience with project management, collaboration, and gaining consensus
  • Supply Chain background
  • Diligent and Meticulous on data Integrity requirement
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Business Process - knowledge base of E2E processes and impact of data parameters and systems connections on specific areas of the business.
