Role Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Dietary Services, the Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role related to the assembly and safe service of food to residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience in a health care or similar environment

Grade XII or Equivalent

Food Handlers Course

Knowledge of and experience with application of WHMIS GHS, routine practices and infection control considered an asset

Performance Requirements

Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team

Operate machinery (Dietary)

Must be in good health and physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lifting, squatting, bending, standing, and walking

Promotes and maintains positive communication and relationships among staff, residents, and the public

Performs other related duties as required
