The Administrator for Transportation is responsible to provide administrative, reporting, and data management support to the transportation team within the Operations Services Department. The Administrator provides quality frontline customer service and problem solving while liaising between private contractors, administration, central office staff, and the general public including parents/guardians. This role is responsible to prepare documents/reports, maintain data, and ensure the administrative activities of the department are performed efficiently and effectively. Working as a collaborative member of the department, the Administrator reports directly to the Supervisor, Transportation
Qualifications:
(a) Recognized diploma/certificate in Office Administration or the equivalent obtained through training and experience;
(b) Minimum three (3) years experience in a frontline/customer support role providing assistance to senior level staff;
(c) Experience providing solutions and problem solving in a high pressure, client-focused environment;
(d) Experience working in an education or public service environment considered an asset.
Rate of Pay: This is an NSGEU (Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union) position with a starting hourly rate of $27.75.
