Vulnerability Management is looking for a dedicated, fast learning candidate to assist us with our automated reporting framework. The role will involve the monitoring and running of our various reporting functions, as well as quick triage and remediation of any issues that may arise. Our ideal candidate will have strong decision-making skills, as well as the technical acumen needed to suggest fixes that meet business needs.
Position Overview:
The Vulnerability Management team works to keep the bank secure and stable. Our directive is to monitor all our technology assets for vulnerabilities, and when found, to properly disposition them. This role is specifically focused on the part of the process that involves communicating the found vulnerabilities to those who can bring them to remediation. Our team manages multiple data streams. Our ideal candidate will be able to act as an owner with all of them.
As an Information Security Specialist on the Reporting team, you will:
- Develop deep knowledge of our security data products to spot abnormalities when they occur.
- Work with other teams to identify scope and impact of abnormalities, as well suggesting and implementing fixes for remediation.
- Work with ServiceNow as a data store, both for data retrieval and storage.
- Run and monitor Python scripts.
- Develop relationships with downstream consumers of data to identify areas of weakness.
- Identify areas of weakness in our data streams and suggest and implement potential improvements.
- Create and document new data streams when needed by the business.
- Provide data analysis on our data products.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate in software related field.
- Understanding of the ETL process.
- API experience.
Preferred experience in:
- ServiceNow
- Python (including libraries such as pandas, numpy, alembic, etc.)
- Working experience with data modeling, relational modeling, and dimensional modeling.
- Working knowledge of source code control tool such as GIT.
- Implementation experience in managing and working in multiple environments, release and change management and knowledge of firewall, network work protocols, file transfer.
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies
- Readiness and motivation (as a developer and subject matter expert) to address and resolve complex issues, guide/advise/support clients, partners, and project teams, often working on multiple medium-to-large sized projects.
