The Opportunity

The Town of Quispamsis is seeking a municipal engineering technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality engineering services in accordance with the Town's priorities, regulatory requirements, and professional engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee capital construction projects

· Support the integrity of the Town's infrastructure through high-quality, cost-effective engineering services including design, inspection, records and asset management

· Implement capital construction initiatives through the application of sound engineering standards in managing capital projects

· Enhance the ability of the Town of Quispamsis to fulfill its mandate by acting as a valued member of Town's Engineering Department

· Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents and contractors

· Work collaboratively with the Engineering team in the deliverance of high-level customer service while meeting projected targets for service delivery in the department; and

· Provide support to other departments such as Utility, Works, and Community Services.

Qualifications

· Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or related

· PTech / C.E.T certification considered an asset

· Minimum of two years progressive experience in the provision of engineering, design and construction services

· A valid Class 5 motor vehicle driver's license and a clean driving record

· Attention to detail with strong prioritizing, organization and multi-tasking skills

· AutoCad, Civil 3D, ESRI GIS knowledge considered an asset.
