As a Compounding Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality compounded prescription products are provided to multiple banners of the Sobeys National Pharmacy Group. You will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of workflow efficiencies and quality control according to NAPRA guidelines. The Pharmacist will also provide guidance and supervision to Pharmacy Assistants and will ensure that all clients are offered and receive professional compounded prescription products. The facility is not open to the public hence not customer-facing.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

Compounding Pharmacy

• Provide formulation suggestions tailored to the medication, disease state, adherence issues, and client preferences.

• Provide instructions on new therapy and dosage forms unique to compounded preparations.

• Ensure all prescription products shipped are of high accuracy with strict adherence to quality control.

• Ensure all workflow and operations meet NAPRA guidelines for non-sterile compounding.

Service to Stakeholders

• Provide superior customer service to all retail stores receiving services from the compounding centre

• Ensure product turnaround times are minimized for customer satisfaction Other • Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards

• Other duties as required

What you have to offer:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.

• Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in British Columbia in good standing.

• Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy preferred.

• Accredited compounding course certification is an asset.

• Knowledge in NAPRA guidelines for non-sterile compounding is an asset.

• Strong proficiency in the pharmacology of compounded preparations

• Strong communication skills (both oral and written) • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines

• Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position in British Columbia is $46.00 - $48.00. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
