JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager, Client Acquisition, the co-op analyst role will support the ongoing optimization and development of business strategies, identifying key market trends, conducting competitive intelligence, analyzing client segments, and implementing operational solutions.
Accountabilities will include:

  • Supporting the development of long, medium, and short-term strategic priorities and vision
  • Gathering and interpreting market data both internally and externally to ensure DI understands leading industry practices in every area of client interaction
  • Analyzing internal KPIs, considering variables of profitability, behaviour, attitudes, channel preferences, demographics, and values
  • Develop procedures/tools to support implementation of adopted strategies and policies
  • Working closely with Marketing, Legal, and Compliance partners to launch campaigns and promotions for Direct Investing and Easy Trade clients
  • Conducting quarterly competitive analyses

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Majoring in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Proficiency in Excel, data querying, data processing, and visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and developing clear and compelling business presentations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and synthesize information quickly.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written and verbally) to a broad audience.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines while multitasking between different projects.
