We are looking for a dedicated Field Service Representative (FSR) to join our team in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. AirPro SAR Services Inc., a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, is a key player in Canada's Fixed Wing Search and Rescue Aircraft Replacement (FWSAR) programme. Our mission is to provide exceptional support across engineering, logistics, maintenance, training, IT systems, infrastructure, and material management throughout the aircraft's lifecycle.
This role includes an initial six-month training period in Comox, British Columbia, before relocating to Greenwood. As the FSR, you will be the primary liaison between AirPro and the customer's maintenance and operational teams, ensuring a smooth entry into service and ongoing support for the C-295 aircraft at the Greenwood Main Operating Base (MOB).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Interface: Serve as the main point of contact with the customer's maintenance and operational teams, ensuring seamless communication and support after fleet entry into service.
- Technical Support: Collaborate closely with the AirPro engineering team to track, resolve, and implement technical solutions, while providing guidance on troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical organization, identifying and addressing operational concerns in technical documentation, procedures, and daily operations.
- Fleet Management: Assist the customer in tracking and resolving technical faults across the fleet, ensuring that all queries are appropriately addressed and that aircraft availability is optimized.
- Spare Parts Coordination: Provide technical assessments on frequent spare parts requests, identifying and addressing unforeseen needs that may impact fleet operations.
- Training and Guidance: Offer technical guidance to customer aircraft technicians and coordinate with them on procedures for reporting technical issues, managing component warranties, and implementing modifications as per service bulletins.
- Operational Assessment: Continually assess the aircraft fleet's operational activity and report any relevant support issues, ensuring that the fleet is maintained to the highest standards.
- Liaison: Act as a liaison between AirPro's engineering teams, appropriate organizations, and the customer to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the FWSAR programme.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years' experience in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- EASA licence and/or A.M.E. license is an asset.
- Located in Canada or willing to relocate and work in Canada.
- Experience with multi-engine aircraft is required.
- Superior customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Effective communication skills in English; fluency in French is desirable.
- Proven ability to coordinate support services effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for training and meetings as required.
