Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Kingston ON
Shift : Full Time
Wage: $50,000 - $65,000

Are you detail-oriented with strong bookkeeping skills and a knack for customer service? We're looking for someone like you!

Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping for a group of businesses
  • Record expenses and sales
  • Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations
  • Month-end review of client reports (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss) to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for daily transactions.
  • Collaborate with other staff bookkeepers- to provide bookkeeping advice
  • Generate financial reports for client review and decision-making.
  • Prepare year-end data for external accountant of each business

    • Experience

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Experience with bookkeeping in the following industries - retail (POS/tender reconciling), construction - tracking by jobs)
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QBO and Xero.
  • Understanding of how to record payroll entries into accounting software.
  • Experience with budgeting and account reconciliation processes.
  • Aptitude for learning new programs and software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Willingness to investigate discrepancies.
