Project Manager / Certified Engineering Technologist

Meltech Thermal Imaging Inc. is a privately owned company operating throughout Atlantic Canada since 2006. We are an industry leader in Infra-Red Thermal Imaging inspections for building evaluations, with specialization in electrical and mechanical evaluations for preventative maintenance as well as insurance requirements and renewals. We also provide specialized consulting, CAD drafting, space designing and project management services for various entities throughout Canada. Our clientele takes us throughout eastern Canada and occasionally other provinces. We are searching for someone who is honest, reliable and passionate about what they do. They will have a desire to learn, assist others and can deliver in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with a minimum of 5 years of experience. They must have, or willing to become, a certified Civil Engineering Technologist (PTech / CET) and be a member in good standing with NBSCETT. The chosen candidate must also have, or be willing to obtain, their Gold Seal Certification in project management with the Canadian Construction Association (CCA).

Responsibilities:

· Organize and conduct virtual or on-site meetings to discuss the needs of the client

· Develop conceptual and working drawings using AutoCAD

· Prepare and deliver budgets, estimates, scope of works and reports

· Continue to manage the project to completion

· Construction cost estimating, budgeting and project management

· Willingness to become a certified thermographer

· Additional responsibilities to be discussed

Qualifications:

· 2-year Civil Engineering Technology diploma

· Knowledge and understanding of the National Building Code

· Experience with AutoCAD & Microsoft Programs

· Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime, when necessary

· Strong problem solving and time management skills

· Have exceptional people skills and an excellent rapport with all individuals
