As an HR Generalist your key responsibilities will include:
- Administer policies, procedures and programs as well as promoting positive employee relations
- Recruitment, candidate screening & assessments selecting the most qualified candidates
- Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
- Plan and deliver employee engagement programs or events.
- Assist in learning administration including course selection and annual learning plan development
- Consult on performance management ensuring proper documentation and handling termination employment matters
- Employee disability and worker's compensation claims management
- Maintain confidential, accurate, and up to date employee files and HRIS data.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (undergraduate degree with concentration in HR or undergraduate degree with post grad HR specialization)
- Experience in Human Resources and/or a CHRP designation would be considered an asset
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations in a fast paced, diverse environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
