This role allows you to leverage your passion for process improvement, and technology skills, to enhance our reporting capabilities. As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting, mentor other team members, and ensure the accuracy of financial data. As the Senior Accountant your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure integrity of the general ledger through maintenance & reconciliations
- Serve as champion and administrator for financial reporting systems
- Lead month end processes and support review of the financial statements
- Participate in monthly Branch P&L reviews and serve as a liaison with branches
- Assist in preparation of budgeting, forecasting, and external auditor requirements
- Project accounting and support where required
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (near completion of the CPA program is acceptable)
- 5+ year experience in financial accounting
- Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Results driven with a process improvement mindset
- Proficient with MS Office, including Excel
